Observations from an outlier

This is the only footage I have pre-injury. It was taken on a Father’s day circa 1992 in Prince George buy my Dad. He belayed me off of a large tree and put a VHS camera on a tri pod. I wish there wasn’t so many hair flicks, but what can I do? Long bangs as a teenager because, “no one understands me”? A few years more of long hair before working the summer at the pulp mill were I was rocking the shaved sides and ridiculous pony tail. This crag no longer exists, it was blown up by the quarry company long ago and is/in probably someone’s driveway now.

About a 1000 feet off the ground, going over a large roof and getting the wheels stuck. Chris has to maneuver the rig around this, but is hanging off the same ropes that I’m on. This is clearly awkward and difficult, and what you don’t see is that he actually flips upside down to pull the wheel free. So, when I pull down, he is actually inverted and pulling up on me.. this is why you need the best climbers to pull off this kind of project.

Discovery Channel news show we agreed to do after the Back to the Wall (on IMDB) documentary short was air on CBC and later on the Knowledge Network.

“Back to the Wall” trailer. This short documentary was made by friends at Fringe Film Works: Adventures in Film Making.
