Becoming a Vertical Challenge Volunteer
Volunteers are the life and soul of the Vertical Challenge project. Without the contributions of many generous and talented people, Brad would never have been able to achieve what he has.

We welcome all offers of help, but are most often in need of the following types of assistance:
  • Carry-in support on climb day
The only way to get Brad to the base of the climb on the Chief is to haul him through the very rugged terrain between the roadway and the actual rock wall. This requires a lot of manpower and frequent trade-offs between carriers. We can never have enough people on hand for the carry-in: let us know if you can help out.

  • Pre-climb training
In order to prepare for the climb, Brad needs to undergo a structured training regime. He is always in need of willing volunteers to help him in his work-outs, as he requires assistance in setting up the various machines he uses. No specialized background or training is required: get in touch if you think you might be interested in training with Brad.
